Hello everybody!

Well another day in 'divers paradise' has begun.

Yesterday after lunch we went to Kralendijk for some shopping and relaxing. After arriving at the boulevard we heard a strange sissing sound coming from the car. We found out that our tire was flat. So we got back into the car and drove to the garage. There 2 man fixed the car while we were sunbathing. After the tire was fixed again we went back to the boulevard to see if we were more lucky this time.

Back at t the boulevard we sat down at Karel's Bar which is a pier in the heart of Kralendijk. After we had some drinks in the sun we went to the shops. There are not many shops in Kralendijk and the ones that are here are souvenir shops with lovely t-shirts with Bonaire on it (ahum). Kralendijk does have perfume- and telephone shops ofcourse. We took a look in some nice little boutiques and after that we walked back to the boulevard and passed a building (which was used as court for Ryan P.) but which is now used for weddings (Irma, the girlfriend of Peter, who works for the municipal registry of births, marriages and deaths, and she carries out marriages in that building (odd, used for marriage and court!

When we arrived home, Peter's house looked totally different it was all covered in pink and purple and there were balloons everywere. It was very hard to find a different colour than pink. This was because of the birthdayparty of the girl we wrote about. The one year old girl arrived at 5:30 PM dressed as a princess, ofcourse in pink.

The party was typical for this culture and we enjoyed the party because it was so much different from the parties in Holland.

After the party we had a glass of red whine together with the mother of Akeesha ( birthday girl aged 1 ) and some other women, we enjoyed it. After that we had dinner, around 11:00 PM. We had mixed grill and it was really good! After that we went to sleep.

We woke up around 08:00 AM this morning, because Emma was planning to go to the hair dresser together with Irma (it was really needed because Emma's hair was all dead at the tops). Lisa woke up too and she went with us. We arrived around 8:30 because the hair dresser had a different appointment for someone else around 7:30 so we were on time. At least, that's what we thought. The woman who had her appointment around 7:30 arrived an hour late so we had to wait for an hour/an hour and a half. Then it was Irma's turn and after that it was Emma's turn. Our appointment was around 8:30 and we arrived back home around 11:30 so imagine how relax and calm everything is over here ;)

Well, now it's time to have lunch. We'll just eat some bread this time because in 15 minutes we'll go to the beach again and tonight we have to work at Will's Tropical Grill.

Well, take care.

    Jeanne Boumeester:

    Hoi meiskes,
