Hey!
Well here we are 7800KM away from home.
Our adventure (haha) begun saturday the 18th of April at about 9 o'clock at Schiphol. After having checked in our luggage ( Emma's luggage was 25,9 Kilo while Lisaá was only 15,8), we had a last cup of hot chocolate before leaving to the Caribbean. After saying goodbye we left the customs and went into the tax free zone. We didn't have much time left so we could only visit 1 shop and around 22:20 we had to be at our gate. Once at our gate, we ran into a (quite old) Dutch couple, who were going to visit Bonaire too but they were planning to go and live there. Then we could finally board our plane, and around 23:35 we left Schiphol Airport.
The trip from Amsterdam to Bonaire was going to take us 9 hours and 45 minutes and turned out to be quite OK. Lisa managed to sleep around 4 hours out of the nearly 10 hours. Emma didn't even reach 10 minutes of sleep. Our neighbour turned out to be some kind of nun (covering her face with a blanket because she was annoyed by her TV screen, which she could simply turn off). After some sleep and watching some movies, it was time to leave the planearound 3:30 local time (which means 9:30 Dutch time). So, lucky us, we had 6 hours of extra time.
We got out of the plane and our first thought was: WOW, HOT. (27 degrees around 4 o'clock in the morning). Once we got off the stairs of the plane we wanted to take some pictures together. A KLM CREW member suggested to takea picture for us, which ended in a fotoshoot together with KLM CREW members (extraordinary, we must admit).
Once off the plane we entered Flamingo Airport but we had the wrong entrance, when entering an employee of the airport gave us a card which permitted us to enter the plane again to continue the trip to Equador, which would be the plane's final destination. Oops that was not the plan! So we sneaked back and entered the airport at the good entrence. After we got our wanted stamps and told where we would stay we could pass and enter Bonaire. With our suitcases ( which ofcourse were one of the last to appear on the luggagebelt, it was already 4:30) we had to get in the huge row to pass the luggage check. By the time we were nearly there it was about 5 o'clock and due to the fact that this department (well this is a kind of an overstatement because there was only 1 checkpoint) closes at 5 o'clock the people there did not take the effort to check all the luggage but just let everybody pass without even scanning the hand luggage or whatever. That's Bonaire.
Emma's uncle Peter came to pick us up together with his girlfriend and the daughter of a friend, he nearly waited 2 hours before we could finally go home with them. We were not tired thus we sat in the garden and watched the sunrise. It is now 7:22 here and we are going to change our jeans into a nice pair of shorts and have breakfast at the boulevard of Kralendijk.

wat ontzettend gaaf dat jullie nu daar zitten. Ik ben net terug uit Marokko dus we wisselen elkaar mooi af.
Het engels in jullie verslag is wat lastig voor me, maar dan kan ik het nu gelijk goed oefenen.
Ik wens jullie een hele fijne tijd daar toe. Ik zal zeker jullie verhalen lezen!
